If this is true, Trump's selection of his VP will be very, very
important to the outcome.

It will also tell us a lot more about Trump. This will be one of the
biggest decisions of his political career.

I think it's most likely to be JD Vance. Trump's definitely
looking for a behind-the-scenes "beta male" type, and Vance looks
the part. Although Rubio is a shameless sycophant today, he's too
vocal and may steal too much of the spotlight, he could be seen as
more of a problem long term. Donalds is another strong
possibility I think.

Would he select a female candidate or a black or hispanic, do you suppose?

I see Vance as being to the *right* of Trump, so he's not courting the
middle, which seems kinda dumb, but what do I know about it...

Good call.

So... he's a right wing nut, a sycophant and wants to force Ukraine to a
bad peace deal?

Well, pretty much whatever he thinks will get him elected, popular
and powerful.

Along time ago here in the US there were a lot of sorta New Age-ish
bumper stickers that expressed positive thoughts and sentiments. One of
them was "Imagine World Peace".

But there's always a smart ass, somewhere, and there got to be another
one, for people like me, I guess, and it said: "Imagine Whirled Peas".

Biden should be fine going forward since he decided he will go to bed early and no late meetings any more :) seriously he said so.

Again, voters will vote either for Trump or against him, no one is voting for Biden because he adds a value or that he is a great candidate.

It's all about swing states, and all it takes a very small percentage changing their minds or simply giving up on voting due to their frustration with the existing candidates.

I don't know if I will vote or not, but I am not voting for the Dems if I decide to vote.

But what's in play here is how many former Biden voters will just not
vote for Pres.

That's the swing vote in this election. Trump's numbers tend to be
fairly steady, I'd guess.

He's a know commodity. When is the last time we've had a chance to vote
where both major candidates can claim experience as US pres and have
track records in office?
