I was concerned about his vindictiveness before, FWIW. A purge would not
be out of the question. I have not really seen anything like this in my
lifetime. I've seen the attempts and actual assassination of seated
presidents and candidates, but the underlying national mood was never
like it is now. It is maybe a powderkeg. Them against us.

Not since the civil war, so far as I know.

Now were are going to see some excellent Kabuki theater, All those in
the media, who pretty much to a man, reviled Trump since before he was
elected in 2016, will now compete with each other to show concern and
caring.

Fucking great stuff, huh? And all for free.

Yes. It's an understood, if not openly acknowledged, trade-off. The
price of widespread gun ownership is increased numbers of shootings of
all kinds. The greater the population density given this condition, the

the father bough this over 6 months ago, and I don't know if "over 6
months" is meant to include the idea that it was 20 years ago, or it was
7 months ago.

his right (camera's left) and the shot happened while he was in this
position, grazing his right ear.

This would seem to put the building somewhere off to the right of the
podium from the perspective of someone on the podium, addressing an
audience.

Slightly diverging, I saw a video this AM, looked legit, but...of the
shooter on the roof, before the shooting. He was sorta hunched up a bit,
not standing upright.

I mean, this was not a startling photo, so no need to Photoshop it, but
one must always be wary when offering up links to others.

enough little bunch to pass the "exam".
Trump's large head would be a 10/10 target I'd imagine, at least sideways,

What might seem to the shooter as a dead-center shot could pass
entirely thru his hair...

Now's the time to think about how this will affect Trump...

There's a fair chance, given that he's a raging narcissist, he'll see
this as a sort of metaphysical "sign" of divine favor. I also suspect
that many of his ardent supporters will, too. This whole package looks
like a powerful, charismatic leader who was always convinced of his
infallibility, being even MORE convinced, and followed by a very
committed and energized voting segment.
