Post by *skriptisFunny, right-wingers and repubicans have been saying for decades that the US health care and private insurance system are the envy of the world and the greatest thing since the invention of the wheel.
Does it matter in 2024 what some self proclaimed "right winger" said in 1964?
Of course it doesn't. It's again typical you, you never debate or discuss, you're always on some "hypocrisy hunt".
Real debate is this.
Generally I understand the reasons for the situation and rules there, no state healthcare blbla, libertarians.
But in this topic, this guy is not some murderer or scum, he's an activist, an ideologue, and as such, his actions (yes it's a murder) need to be considered and analyzed.
An irony here is that Luigi's ideological framework were closer to
Thomas Matthew Crooks the guy who shot at Trump, than to any right wing
malcontent.
Both seemed dissatisfied with perceived authority figures: they were
anti-authoritarian, and a defining feature of the US right is a desire
for an authority figure. Crooks was probably trying to preempt Trump's
possible 2nd term with all the authoritarian threats he imagined, while
Mangione was attempting to somehow even the score for perceived wrongs.
At least it looks that way.
