Chris Evert has always been like that, totally disgusting. She has her
favorite and does nothing but makes excuses for that player if they are
losing. It's freaking non-stop during the entire match!

To make it even worse, she loathes to give credit to the opponent.
Barely mentions a good shot or smart strategy/tactics from said
opponent. Pathetic.

That's why I have called her a dime store bimbo; tennis is for more
viewable when she isn't in the broadcast booth. And its the only good
thing about Tennis Magazine no longer being published - I no long have
to read her "insights".

Indeed I am! During yesterday's match Evert's disgust with Emma Navarro
even caused the dime store bimbo to FORGET her freaking name! She called
her "the other player" while granting us with some supposed tennis
'wisdom'.

Gauff thinks she can talk her way into great category. She said she
expects to win many slams that's why she wasn't overly excited about her
USO win last yr, figures it's 1st of many. Also thought she'd win 3
medals at Olympics, maybe all gold. It's ok for genuinely great players
to talk this way, like Novak does, but you have to get there 1st. Her
forehand is crap, should take time out and build it up to a decent weapon.

Yes, exactly the way to do it, in my opinion.

There's the player's actual *game*--their ability to play and win tennis
matches.

Then there's their personality both on and off the court.

They are two separate things and should be judged separately: you can
hate the personality and yet still respect their play.

Serena's personality is a sad case. That it's sad doesn't make me like
her any better but in fact at times I come close to a sort of
far-removed pity.

...then common disgust sets in--*years* of it.
