Alcaraz won't let this trophy leave him ever and if he stayed healthy with the right mentality he will have the Wimbledon record.

I hope I am still around when this happens :)

His weakness is also his strength - ie too much variety and too many
strengths, he doesn't always choose the right option. He'll get better
at that the more he plays, still 2 or 3 yrs from his peak. He nearly
lost to Tiafoe so nothing is guaranteed. I'd like to see a calendar
slam and he's the best chance of us seeing that some day.

Maybe he could do a Serena Slam? :)

Medvedev said Carlos is the best player he's ever played - he doesn't BS.

McEnroe was the 1st guy I thought could win calendar slam. Djokovic was
the 2nd. Carlos looks to have better prospects than both of them imo.

Winning cygs requires that the player is really great and then a
lot of luck represented in the face of the competition that this
player has.

Medved described his experience playing top 3 and Carlos, but he
didn't say Carlos is better than them.

'I've Played Djokovic, Federer, and Nadal - Alcaraz is Tougher'

Daniil Medvedev has revealed that playing Carlos Alcaraz is tougher than
playing Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, and Novak Djokovic.

"Roger plays on the line, hits beautiful technique shots, goes to the
net. Novak also plays on the line, but completely different. Amazing
defence, like a pinball player where the ball comes back faster to you.
Rafa, completely different again. He can stay 10 metres behind, but he
is going to run to every ball and hit banana shots. I think where Carlos
is different from many players, we all have preferences, some prefer
defence, some prefer to be super aggressive. He can do all of it.”

“Probably in my career he’s the toughest opponent I have faced
but I have time, I have time to try to do better. I played the big three when they were, let’s say, older. Over 30. It was a bit different.”

Alcaraz is in his youthful peak. He's joyful and fearsome.

Nadal 2008, Federer 2004 od Djokovic 2011...

Maybe he's even better than them, but my point is, the tour is still adjusting to him. He has a surprise factor that he's using.

The tour will likely soon be gifting him matches left & right once the
goat train gets fully in motion. Like they did to Fed.

Who is gonna stop him, Sinner?

Not that he won't deserve it, a wonderful player for sure.

No doubt he can win 8, or more. If he stays healthy. The kid's a natural.

Also love his personality, tennis is lucky to have him after
Fed/Nad. I think I have something to keep the Tennis Channel for
:)

Do you think a womanizer can be a great champion as well? I don't
think a womanizer can maintain great levels of tennis for long
time.

True, the "little death" takes a toll, just ask Becker!
