Hello!

Thanks to the efforts of the team members
and captain Björn Borg, Team Europe wins
Laver Cup 2024! Frances Tiafoe was close
to beating Sasha Zverev, but he cracked after
one and a half sets.

Carlitos Alcaraz played a near perfect
first set against Taylor Fritz, winning
it 6-2 in just 31 minutes. Carlitos lead
the second set 4-2 and had at least one
break point to get a double break.

However, Fritz kept fighting and held his
serve, then broke Alcaraz, and held again
to lead 5-4. Alcaraz did not panic. He
held to make it 5-5 and then just shifted
gears and broke Fritz to lead 6-5.

At 6-5 40-15 Alcaraz missed a pretty easy
forehand volley, but at 40-30 he hit
a big first serve right to the backhand
corner of Fritz. The serve was very accurate
and Fritz was unable to return it.

This means that Carlitos Alcaraz has won
the deciding match, giving Team Europe
the Laver Cup championship!

Congratulations to Team Europe and all
europeans! Well done!

I watched a lot of it - pretty good stuff. Hope it comes to Sydney.
