Post by Scall5Post by SawfishPost by PeteWasLuckyMy last years on this earth will probably be overlapping with the
ongoing Musk sickening era.
Musk is like a bright but annoying kid. He may be amusing at first,
but the more you see of him...
It wears out pretty fast.
He does appear to me to be susceptible to manipulation by subtler,
more clever folks. Maybe by Trump.
Here's a weird observation I made after reading and considering things
that both Ramaswamy and Musk seem to be saying (can't really trust
reportage without a check of some kind).
Both of these guys are certifiable narcissistic dickheads, but even
dickheads such as them are preferable to another round of woke.
Sorry-ass shit...
Happy New Year, Pete!
Least not we forget, how do those with money create their riches? By
outfoxing everyone else to give them their money. Fair or not, that is
the way human hierarchy has been since the "six cradles of
civilization"; if not before then.
I see your general point, Scall, but you've phrased it as if it's
overtly predatory and that a major goal of this acquisition is to humble
and humiliate others. There's a big segment of people with significant
wealth who are mainly looking only to acquire assets--collect them, use
them to acquire more--and these types don't take pleasure in
gratuitously hurting others.
There *are* those who *do* enjoy this Conan the Barbarian rush of
conquest, but I just wanted to point out that it would be inaccurate to
portray everyone with significant money as of this type.
It's hard enough to do, and the avenues are few and narrow, so what
happens is that you don't *want* to think about possible unintended
pain, so you don't.

"To the average American or Englishman the very name of anarchy causes a
shudder, because it invariably conjures up a picture of a land
terrorized by low-browed assassins with matted beards, carrying bombs in
one hand and mugs of beer in the other. But as a matter of fact, there
is no reason whatever to believe that, if all laws were abolished
tomorrow, such swine would survive the day."
